FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do I (my child) need to bring to class ?

1- Comfortable clothing (e.g.; shorts or sweat pants)
2- Plenty of water
3- Soccer Kids NYC t-shirt
Note – Always arrive at least 5 minutes prior to start time. Being early allows for classes to start and end on time. In addition, some kids do not respond positively when they are late to their session.

WHEN is the program available? WHERE do classes takes place? HOW long are the seasons? WHAT is the cost?

1- The program is available the entire year (winter, spring, summer and fall).
2- Classes take place at multiple locations throughout Queens including Bayside, Middle Village, Elmhurst, Flushing, Woodhaven, Kew Gardens, Oakland Gardens, and many more.
3- The seasons are 7 weeks long
4- The entire season registration fee  is $189 – there are no additional fees. The registration fee allows our program to compensate our coaches for their work, sponsor their continual coaching development, give back to the community, and create free events for our registered families, and cover rental fees among others things.

Can my child take a trial class ?

We do NOT offer trial classes. We do, however, have a specific refund policy which provides a similar option. You can enroll for the season and if for some reason your child does not take to the class, you have until before the third (3rd) class to withdraw and receive a full refund, minus a non refundable $30 registration fee (includes insurance cost, T-shirt cost, etc).

Did I read that correctly ? I will be given a 100% Refund MINUS a $30 registration fee, if I call BEFORE the 3rd class ?

Yes! We have the upmost confidence in our coaches and our program. Soccer Kids NYC was designed with all of our kids in mind. We understand that some of our kids do take a little longer than others to warm up to a new activity and/or group. You must request a refund prior to the 3rd class. No refunds are provided after the 3rd class. There is a non refundable $30 registration fee.

How do I Pay ?

For your convenience, we accept debit/credit card payments and checks. Click on Calendar to see the list of classes and enroll.
Theses payment methods will:
1-Allow you to immediately receive a confirmation e-mail that your child has been registered, AND
2- If a refund is requested, we can process your request faster.

What is your make-up policy ?

Soccer Kids NYC allows make-up classes throughout the season (except during the first and last week of classes). All make-ups must be done within the current season in which your child is registered for. To schedule a make-up simply call the office at (917)655-5437. For the purpose of maintaining class quality, only 1 child can be scheduled for a make-up (per class) in a sold out class.

What is your rain policy ?

Soccer Kids NYC will make every effort to determine the status of class no later than two hours before the scheduled start time of class, based on available hourly forecasts. In most cases, drizzle or light rain do not constitute cause for cancellation. Occasionally we will cancel classes due to adverse weather conditions with short notice or while class is in progress. The safety of the children is our number one concern. In the event of a cancellation, our office will contact all enrolled families via email, and all weather updates are posted on our SoccerKidsNYC.com website. If classes are cancelled by Soccer Kids NYC, either a make-up class will be scheduled or credit towards a new period will be applied. If parents or caregivers elect not to attend due to conditions, make-up will be offered, but not guaranteed. No refund will be offered.

Is there a minimum enrollment to hold the class ? Maximum ? At what point do you cancel a class ?

Our goal is to never cancel or leave any of our kids out. We prefer to have a minimum of 3 children in a class (some of our young children do great in a smaller group), however, whenever there is a class with low registration (1 or 2 kids) the parents registered to this class will be informed and provided all potential options including other available classes. While many parents prefer their child to have a more social experience interacting in classes with higher enrollment, many parents prefer lower enrolled classes where their child can get more individual attention. You may also contact our office about the possibility of having private lessons at a reduced cost to you.

Additionally, we do NOT like to overload our classes because we compromise on quality. If a class is sold out, a parent can either join our waitlist or register to another available class. The maximum number of kids per class varies with age (the younger the group, the smaller the group).

How do I learn more about my child’s coach ?

A coach’s bio will be sent out via email to all class members or you can contact us at info@SoccerKidsNYC.com or (917)655-5437 to request additional information.

Can I switch classes if my schedule changes ?

Yes, a parent can request a change/transfer from one class to another (except when the class is FULL) that has the same end date.

When is the program available ?

The program is available for kids age 2 through 10, on weekend and weekdays throughout the year.

Aside From Group Classes, What other Services does Soccer Kids NYC offer ?

School-Enrichment Program (We work closely with schools to integrate our Soccer Program in to their schedule, creating a win-win for the schools and kids)

Soccer Birthday Parties (only for registered Soccer Kids NYC families)
